The Antiphospholipid Syndrome (APS) represents a quite frequent pathology characterized by thrombosis (arterial as well as venous) and fetal loss. The diagnosis of this disease is based on the detection of anti-phospholipid antibodies using ELISA (anti-cardiolipin, anti-β2-GPI) or coagulation test (Lupus Anticoagulant – LAC).
